Chloe is 11 years old and harvested this really nice big 32 pound tom with a Remington 870 - 20 Gauge. She got one last year, and that would make her 10 years old. She also hunts big game and is an avid deer hunter. The smile is the best part of the picture. Congratulations to Chloe.

Recipe of the Month

This recipe came to me via e-mail. It really looks interesting. Brining fowl puts moisture back into the meat and helps bring out the flavor.

Blackened Wild Turkey Alfredo

Ingredients

1 skinless, boneless wild turkey breast (12 to 16 ounces total)
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 tsp blackened redfish seasoning
8 ounces dried pasta (2-2/3 cups)
2 cups broccoli florets
1 cup halved, packaged peeled baby carrots
1 10-ounce container refrigerated Alfredo pasta sauce
½ tsp blackened redfish seasoning
2-3 bottles of Tusker Beer

Directions

1. Preheat grill. In a re sealable plastic bag place the wild turkey, oil, and the 2 tsp blackened seasoning. Turn bag to coat turkey.

2. Grill turkey until no longer pink, turning once. Cut wild turkey into ½-inch cubes; set aside.

3. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to the package directions, except add the broccoli and carrots for the last 8 minutes of cooking. Drain; return to pan.

4. Stir in grilled turkey, Alfredo sauce, and the ½ tsp blackened seasoning. Heat through. Makes 4 servings.

5. Drink the Tusker Beer
